joaish ho-- your smile and dedication, help on saturday , helping out despite knowing that you got to open door for your maid...

you made our trip possible .......

For the saints on the trip....
i thank you once again for the great time we had .......

Tour report format
1) what were the highlight/s on the tour for you and why?
my personal highlight was to see the class come together and performing as one. The dance at st anothony was one where you see the heart of everyone gelling into one. The eypita centre was another where the impact of the event on the people can be unforgettale .... No one was thinking about self.... that feeling cannot be described.

2) what were your feelings/emotions from tour preparation moving into the tour
i was hesitant about organising as i know the work to be done was tremedous ..... from day 1 that we start, i keep the end in mind and kept going, i trusted the people with the tasks because with me alone, the task cannot be completed. Zong and Edwin, together with the comm and a cooperative people made this possible. It ended with satisfaction to see life long bonds created, One class forming ....and many more

3) who will you like to commend on his contribution/effort? why
choose a person and commend ... i have done that above

4) what are the lessons you take away ? how you are going to realise it in your life?
make 3 personal goals that you will want to achieve next year
1) to make it a habit to give good comments to my students whenever possible
2) to make sure my students get under10 to achieve their life long goals
3) to make "yes we can" environment in class

write on A4 or type it out and send it to mkw7u9r@yahoo.com.sg and hand in by latest 15 Nov.
People not on trip can also do so.

cheers

For the people who visited Phillipines:

Hello from our little island of doom and destruction! If you're reading this, that menas you've either saved the blog just before google servers were impaled, or you're in heaven. Just joking. While some of you were having fun teaching jumpstyle moves to your newfound friends, others have been here, scripting and blowing (into their insturments) and slaving (in Takashimaya) and doing homework, so enjoy yourselves while you can!

The blogskin will be done by next year.

Holiday homework will not be placed onto the blog unless required or requested.

These are the email addresses of your new friends. I had to keep them here in order to prevent them from being flushed out of the Cbox. Enjoy!

Sentosa 29/8 | End of Year Chalet

Ok guys as you all heard, Sentosa is still on. If I'm not wrong after the raising of hands, around 28+- people can make it. Which according to Mr. Ng, we should still continue.
Here is the proposed itinerary :

  1. Board bus to sentosa at 11.30-12pm. That leaves you with 1+ hr after school ends to sort anything you need to do.
  2. Sentosa from 12.30pm-6pm.
  3. Vivo for dinner at 6 or 7.
  4. Those who wanna watch a movie then can do so.
Note to all those going, please bring $5. This will cover the $1 for transport and food and drinks.

Anyways, to those who can't make it, there always the chalet that we are going to organize after the EOY's. It will be a 3D2N at Aloha Loyang. That one we will pick a date where everyone can make it. Anyways after the exam there is no rush, so everyone should be able to make it.

A601: The Homeroom, update!

Two photo montages up and ready!

Kudos to the following people (alphabetical order):

  • Ee Siong for taking the initiative to print out all the forty-something A4-sized pictures.
  • Ethan for helping me paste blu-tack and arguing about the arranging of pictures.
  • Mr. Ng for supplying three images that have not been printed, YET.
  • Zong Zhen for supplying three images that have not been printed, YET; for taking down the stuff that was on the wall initially.
  • Solomon for helping to take down the stuff that was on the wall initially, and providing entertainment through his PSP.
  • And myself for pasting blu-tack, arguing with Ethan over the arrangement of pictures, thumb-tacking the pictures on the notice board, rearranging all the elements of the notice board, stapling every single thing there was to staple, pushing in chairs and tables, tromping around wet floors, staying until 6-something to clear up and locking the room. (Such self praise.)
Have fun at founder's day tommorrow! Remember, don't complain, for I have much more than you do! D:

80 Bucks, Bang!

It's official!

We're not getting my account back!

All US$86.~ Are gone! Gone!

We tell Mr. Ng tomorrow.

Awareness Test

Haha just to add a little fun into the blog. Watch this video. I swear you will find it damn funny. I did.

Advertising

Hey guise.

From what I understand, some of you guys are spamming ads. I suppose that's to support our class' finances. However, Google, being the smart people that they, certainly have algorithms that detect invalids clicks and after a manual review on our account, it was disabled. This means that everything is set back to US$0.00. We have absolutely no money.

I have sent a form of appeal to unlock our account again. But if it is unlocked, do take note: click only on advertisements that are of relevant interest. For example, you don't go about clicking on bereavement services. You click on advertisements like Playstation Portable DJMAX stuff. And don't spam-click with different computers too. Just click when you're interested.

I believe some of you misunderstood my intentions when I said "click ads". I didn't mean it in a "spam" sort of way. Now you know.

This is the email they sent:

"Hello Ng Chee Keong,

While going through our records recently, we found that your AdSense
account has posed a significant risk to our AdWords advertisers. Since
keeping your account in our publisher network may financially damage
our advertisers in the future, we've decided to disable your account.

Please understand that we consider this a necessary step to protect the
interests of both our advertisers and our other AdSense publishers. We
realize the inconvenience this may cause you, and we thank you in
advance for your understanding and cooperation.

If you have any questions about your account or the actions we've
taken, please do not reply to this email. You can find more information
by visiting
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153&hl=en_US.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team"

Ciao.

A Day At The Beach : Postponed

The sentosa outing has to be postponed to End of term/ Teacher's day due to unforeseen circumstances. We are confirm chartering a bus and we will try to use class funds to pay for it? We'll try.

Anyway, please take the survey to give your opinion on how you want our new blog skin to be like. It's on the right.

RIP Mr Harry Tan

Mr Harry Tan passed away this afternoon. He was a true Saint, being first a student, then a principal of our school. 3SA would like to wish his family our deepest condolences and express our heartfelt grief for his family. We pray that the Lord God will comfort you, knowing that he will spend eternity with his heavenly father.

An update on class advertisement finances:

This is how much we earned in 1 week.

US$20 whole freaking things.

Understand the importance of it now?

Hockey match tomorrow.

Please be reminded that post-curriculum hours, we have a hockey match to go. As much as you all don't want to be sitting there boring yourselves out of your wits, I'm afraid that we will, and we will, take attendance. Just bring your PSPs if you're really desperate, if not, one hour of music should suffice.

Advertisement finances: the 53 clicks that we have received today earned us an extra US$10. I advise you all not to spam, but rather, just click one by one as if you all are interested in the advertisements. I'm sure you all are. Playstation Portable, DOTA, Counterstrike: all these should appear in a matter of time. Of course, if you want me to activate advertisements for "loving", I could. :\

That is, if, if, like Adam, you're desperate.

Wear your No.2 or AFGM shirt tomorrow, please. See you soon.

An update on class advertisement finances:

That'll be $50.01 / 181 dollars per advertisement. A lot of money there. If you guys just click, we'd be rich!

Poll Results

You think our class is just:

So what are we doing about this noisiness/over-sociable-ness? Are we working around it to be able to get to our aim of reducing the school's banding, or are we just burdening it with our antics? Something for you to think about.

Anyway, how was the Festival Winds?

The World Is Just Awesome

this is like probably the most anti-emo video in the world. Confirm make you smile one! haha.

Hope you guys enjoy it because I did! =)

Brazil 3 Singapore 0

Note from your MD2 : All must go, and if we had a choice it wouldn't be a class outing anymore.

Sentosa? Any Better Ideas?

Apparently it seems some people, like Ee Siong don't want to go to Sentosa. Alright we shall put this to a vote then.

Vote on the poll. If you don't want sentosa, please state an alternative or any suggestions. The planning committee (Zong, Russell, Matthew, Jerald, Shaun, Josiah) shall try to accommodate your suggestions to our best efforts depending on the feasibilty of your ideas. We shall try as much as possible to go with the majority but if it is very difficult we may still go with Sentosa.

Class Outing on 8.8.08

Yes to confirm the rumor by Ee Siong, we are going to have another class outing on the eve of National Day, which is a half day. The details are not confirmed but these are for sure, it is going to be at sentosa again. We are trying to get a chalet and stuff but ya for now just keep your 8.8.08 free.

No raping in class!

Brunei Trip Report

Brunei Trip

For your information, their school has the same name as our school, ‘St Andrew’s School’. They are also like a ‘village’, they have students from kindergarten up to Secondary five. Even though they have the same name, it is a mixed school. Obviously the atmosphere is quite different from a boy’s school and I need to present myself better. This trip to Brunei made me realize how big and well-equipped our school is in terms of facilities and technology. If you guys had been listening to what they had said to us. Their school is really small as compared to us. The school is three or four storey high (cannot remember) and about half the size of our school. Shockingly, they only have ONE boy toilet and two girl toilets for the entire school, surprised? Their school motto is different, its courage and love. Their tables and chairs are very old as if it had been used for twenty years or more. We should really appreciate our tables and chairs. Show your appreciation by not dismembering the chair’s legs and vandalizing the table. Cannot think of anything else to write...

Regarding Photos

Attentiiiiiion, boooys. (Ala Mr. Koh Yong Mong.)

If you desperately need high resolution versions of the pictures, by all means, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEM.

Because somehow ZongZhen's uploader compressed them all to sizes way below 500 kilobytes each, compromising quality.

Therefore, if you need the high resolution versions, do bug Zong Zhen or me for the DVD/another DVD. Each DVD that is burnt for one person will cost $5.

Joking.

A Day At the Beach 1/7/08 -

Here are the photos from the Sentosa Outing. There around 230++ photos, so I can't put all of them here. Alternatively I uploaded them into a web album, click the album below to view and/or download. If anyone is having trouble downloading, a DVD is being passed around the class. So if you want just tell Zong.

Inter Class Soccer 1st Runner's Up

a tribute to 3sa soccer team

great display of soccer and teamwork today!!! though we were edge out by penalties in the finals , we played extremely well as a team. we create many chances just to be denied by the poles. Just like the euro 08, it had to be decided by the luck of the kick......

you win some, and you lose some...., we might have lose the game, there are some winners on the pitch, the team gelled as one, every struck to their own role and we hit 3N3 attack after attacks. We had only one focus, that is to win. the intensity on the face says it all.

thanks to
Zong for organising the team in the class
zul and cheng en for being a pillar in defense where we did not let in any
mervin for the untiring runs
andre for control the tempo of the game
Ngai thai for displaying great skills in attack and defense
arvind for the spirit excellence
adam , for the strength to take the last spot kick
matthew and peeranin for the 1st 2 game, the team did not let you and the class down,
as they fought to the very last minute

guys remember:
“To bear defeat with dignity, to accept criticism with poise, to receive honors with humility -- these are marks of maturity and graciousness.”william arthur ward

what is a better job than seeing all of you maturing in fine young gentlemen......

thank you class
mr ng

Class Photos and Slideshow

Yes, slideshow, now available on the left *points*. It's getting crowded there, and I don't have time to re-skin. Sorry. All our photos can be and will be able to be viewed in the slideshow. Not up for the time being due to the slideshow function being stupid.

Class photos - choose which ones you want. Note that there are name errors and such; I will inform Mr. Ng about them. Inform the others about these photos too, please. And don't be cheap and print them out. I scanned them at an especially low resolution for that purpose.
